What is
it that makes some images stand out?
Why do we
like an image so much that we feel that strong desire to look and look again, observe, watch, collect and, perhaps, also posses
it?
In this collection I tried to assemble examples of images, in which the use of LINES, PATTERNS and some level of ABSTRACTION all create a result which stands out.
They all seem to have
it - whatever
it is.
These are images, paintings and drawings in which I feel a certain level of STYLIZATION created a unique EMOTION and ZING, adding the necessary extra twist to an otherwise ordinary image, painting, drawing, etc.
While this is by no means a definitive answer to the question about the
it in a work of art, nor the ultimate collection of examples of
it, I hope the collection will inspire you to search - and perhaps also grasp - your own extraordinary
it in a work of art, or the world around.
